Corton Les Maréchaudes, Domaine Chandon de Briailles 2011

Tasting Notes

A trace of wood sets off the ripe, fresh and spicy nose of red cherry, earth and a hint of the sauvage. There is excellent verve and plenty of muscle to the focused and moderately powerful middle weight flavors that possess fine depth and impressive length. This is not an especially big wine by the standards of the appellation but it is well balanced and should reward a decade or so of cellar time.
