Tasting Notes

The 2018 Chablis Grand Cru Les Preuses is superb, revealing an incipiently complex bouquet that mingles orange blossom, iodine, shrimp shell reduction and wet stones in a saliva-inducing mélange. Full-bodied, satiny and multidimensional on the palate, it's layered, elegantly textural but incisive, with racy acids for the vintage and a long, saline finish.

Score: 95William Kelley, RobertParker.com, August 2019

Well-layered aromas are composed by notes of green fruit, seashore, floral and a touch of mineral reduction. There is once again excellent volume to the even more refined and attractively textured flavors that culminate in a bitter lemon, refreshing and balanced finish. This is a lovely combination of power and finesse.

Score: 91/93Allen Meadows, Burghound.com (76), October 2019
