Bottled in April. Pale colour with light green tint. This is very classic William Fèvre, offering noticeably more weight than the Petit Chablis. There is a significant volume of fruit on the palate with enough density, quite easily accessible but with the right saline acidity to finish. Very good length. Excellent textbook Chablis. Tasted: May 2019
Scents of citrus oil, green pear, dried white flowers, bread dough and oyster shells introduce the 2018 Chablis Villages, a medium to full-bodied, satiny and incisive wine built around lively acids and chalky dry extract. Fulfilling the promise it showed a year ago, this has turned out nicely and has a bright future ahead of it.
The 2018 Chablis Villages is very promising, offering up aromas of white flowers, peach, lemon oil and green apple that are already pure and harmonious. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, ample and satiny, with tangy acids, chalky structuring extract and a saline finish.
This offers plenty of fruit and a deeply fleshy texture on the palate. The nose is all melon, peaches and limes and the palate has such juicy and fleshy texture, combined with a flash of bright, refreshing acidity, holding melon, pears and white peaches fresh and long. A concentrated and delicious AC from Fèvre in 2018. Drink now.
