Sugrue The Trouble With Dreams, Sugrue South Downs 2017

Tasting Notes

Pale in colour with a vibrant mousse. Immediately aromatic on the nose with fresh apple and pear; a precise minerality and notes of limes and flint. The palate is very Chardonnay focussed. Steely, structured, zesty but at the same time possessing a creamy vinosity and generosity of texture. A wine combining both elegance and power. English sparkling wines are really hitting new levels and Dermot Sugrue is something of a genius.
