An animatedly floral and spice-suffused nose reveals aromas of cassis, wild black berries and green tea nuances. There is a velvety mouthfeel to the attractively textured large-scaled flavors that culminate in a beautifully persistent, austere and quite firm finale. This isn't quite as dense as the Chambertin but it's finer and while it could use a bit more depth, it is also a wine that is very much best left alone for at least a decade so more should develop in time. 2037+
