Johnnie Walker Black Label N.V.

John Walker was born in 1805 near Kilmarnock, Scotland and by 1825 he was selling whiskies (amongst other things) from his family's grocery shop. Over the coming years the business grew and John's son, Alexander, took over the reigns when his father died in 1857. Alexander saw the potential to dramatically expand the business, and within just a few years, the iconic 'square' bottle was being sent to all corners of the globe. Alexander Walker continued to improve the quality of his product, as did his children, and today the Johnnie Walker name is one of the most recognised whisky brands on sale throughout the world.
