An exuberantly floral-suffused nose speaks of the essence of pear, apple and just sliced lemon. This mouthfeel of the middle weight flavors is really quite sleek with fine delineation and a subtle minerality adding a sense of lift to the youthfully austere finale. This lovely and balanced effort could use better depth so plan on at least a few years of bottle aging. Note: from 1 ha of evenly mixed vines in Houlières, Charmes, La Rue aux Vaches, Rue Rousseau and Enseignères
From Charmes, Houlières, Enseignères, Rue Rousseau and Rue aux Vaches. 20% new wood. Mid lemon yellow. Reductive. Starts discreetly, then builds in intensity, as always more linear than the Meursault, with a fair length of finish. Drink from 2028-2032.
