A beautifully layered, and more expressive, nose features notes of exotic tea and just cracked black pepper on the fresh blend of both red and black pinot fruit. There is markedly better mid-palate density to the bigger-bodied flavors that are supported by dense but fine tannins on the impressively persistent and well-balanced finale. This is lovely and quite classy as well.
A rich ruby purple. The bouquet has a flamboyant weight of fruit backed up by a certain amount of oak as well. Henri finds lime blossom, which adds a further lick of freshness to the vibrant cherries. The fruit continues on the palate long after the fine tannins. Promising. Drink from 2032-2040. Tasted Oct 2024.
