The best looking grapes, reports Jean-Nicolas, with virtually no sorting needed. An even and noble purple. A ripe floral nose, without exaggeration. The sense of balance is impeccable. Greater depth of fruit than Cros Parantoux but just possibly less elegance. A chocolate note to finish. If this refines during the rest of the ageing it will outstrip Cros Parantoux but not a guarantee. Drink from 2035-2045.
