**Note: from vines of 50 to 99 years of age situated in Epointures, Combe du Dessus and Les Marchais aged in 65% new wood and vinified with <75% of the stems**
A classic if notably ripe Gevrey nose combines pungent earth and underbrush aromas with cool and pure red berry fruit that is nuanced by a touch of cassis. The restrained, textured and concentrated middle weight flavors exude an intense minerality, all wrapped in a hugely complex and persistent finish. This is one of the finest villages wines of the 2009 vintage but note that it is built to go at least 12 to 15+ years.
