Tasting Notes

Clones 76, 277, P58, Mendoza, I10V1; the first two are the Bernard/Dijon clones, which are new additions to the vineyard. Hand-picked, destemmed direct to the press, specific yeast selection, fermented and matured in French oak (25-30% new) from various coopers for 11 months. The wine is positively electric/alive with pinpoint precision and length. Mouthwatering, glorious, and will live for decades.

James Halliday, Wine Companion, January 2025

Pale straw with admirably fresh, juicy, extremely bright fruit in the middle. Not skinny but extremely refreshing. Long, vibrant and pure. Still very slightly chewy – promises a good long life.

Jancis Robinson MW, JancisRobinson.com, November 2019

Struck match reduction, white peach, lemon pith, melon and jasmine set the scene, before subtle honey and nougat beneath. It has impressive line and purity, focus and precision. The palate is tensile and concentrated, with a burst of preserved lemon, jasmine, and honey framed by pithy phenolics and bright acidity to pull the wine long through the palate. Focus, purity, line. A brilliant expression. Closure: screwcap. Drink from 2024-2032.
