An overtly floral and broad-ranging nose displays plenty of spice elements on the red and blue pinot fruit, cassis, sandalwood and tea-scented aromas. The mineral-inflected, round, delicious and impressively complex large-scaled flavors evidence a taut muscularity and plenty of punch on the seriously long and mouth coating finish. The tannic spine is both firm and ripe and this beautifully balanced effort should reward at least 12 to 15 years of cellar time and very probably more.
