Certified organic and biodynamic. Old vines grown on well-drained Muschelkalk limestone at the top of a hill at 300 m. Late-ripening site above Hunawihr. Spontaneous fermentation and ageing in large oak foudres for 12 months and bottling 18 months later in January 2023 directly from full lees. Lifted nose and masses of acidity but the impression overall is of a sleek wine that’s somehow settled. You can taste that it’s made from old, well-balanced vines. Very fine. 2024-2032
From the Domaine: Indice 1 - wine is technically dry or tastes dry.
A noble wine that’s extremely subtle and delicate, the power seriously underplayed, almost hiding in the many corners of this shy beauty. Super-elegant interplay of ripe acidity, medium body and silkiness. Great aging potential. From biodynamically grown grapes. Drink or hold.
