First vines purchased back in 2012. On the slope above Pommard. 85-year-old vines, tiny bunches with tiny berries, well under 20 hl/ha even in 2023. A very intense dark purple. The bouquet will take time. In the mouth the wine is extraordinarily dense yet with noble pinot lurking within. Black fruit, ultra concentrated, far from over -ripe, with a dense tense structure. Immense but DO NOT DRINK YOUNG. By the finish the nose starts to appear, blackcurrants and dark red berries. Drink from 2028-2033. Tasted Nov 2024.
