The 1990 has put on weight since I first had it, although it is displaying some amber at the edge. The smoky, weedy tobacco, roasted herb, and blackcurrant nose is followed by a fleshy, soft wine with well-integrated tannin, and a jammy, low acid finish. It should drink well for another 6-7 years. Last tasted, 11/96.
