A cool, discreet and reserved red pinot fruit nose offers up notes of crushed herbs and a broad range of spice notes that clearly identify the wine as a fine Vosne. The linear, direct and mineral-driven medium-bodied flavors are strikingly energetic and also stain the palate on the lingering and moderately austere finish. This is Cistercian in its restraint at present and wonderfully classy.
