An exuberantly spicy nose of elegant and pure red currant and red pinot fruit aromas complements perfectly the refined and intensely mineral-driven flavors that possess outstanding detail and intensity on the driving and hugely long finish. This stylish and classy effort does display a bit of wood though here it's very much a background element. This is a really lovely combination of finesse, power, balance and focus that should amply repay extended cellaring. In a word, terrific. (Drink starting 2023)
