This 9 hectare Pomerol property has been owned by the Moueix family since 1953 when it was purchased with Trotanoy. It is very well situated on the plateau near to Le Gay and Gazin with clay soils and is planted entirely with Merlot vines.
The 2021 is 100% Merlot as always, and was harvested from 29th September to 4th October. Deep ruby colour with a silky red cherry and plum tones. The palate has a lick of sweet spice prominent throughout, but the bright acidity and vivid cherry fruit keep everything nicely balanced. The finish has a darker tone, with dark plums layered by coffee and dark chocolate. This is a supple and moreish showing of 2021.
A firm and silky wine with finesse and beauty. Medium body. Medium, round tannins. Juicy finish. Subtle.
The 2021 Lagrange is 100% Merlot. Medium to deep garnet-purple colored, it features vibrant scents of fresh raspberries and kirsch with suggestions of cardamom, Provence herbs, iron ore, and tree bark. Medium-bodied, the palate delivers impressive intensity of red berry flavors with firm, grainy tannins and a ferrous finish.
2026-2036
