Charlemagne, Domaine Jean Yves Bizot 2022

Tasting Notes

The nose is presently dominated by residual fermentation aromas and a very subtle amount of wood toast. More interesting are the dense big bodied and overtly powerful flavors that brim both with minerality and sappy dry extract that helps to buffer the firm an explosively long finish that is borderline tannic. This is packed with development potential and clearly a wine that's going to need it. In a word, terrific. (Drink starting 2034)
