Enough wood to merit mentioning frames ripe aromas of lemon confit and white orchard fruit along with a hint of jasmine tea. There is a lovely, indeed seductive, texture to the powerful yet refined medium weight flavors that deliver excellent length on the lightly stony and balanced finale. This is terrific and very much built to repay extended keeping. Note: from a holding of about .17 ha where the vines run from the top to the bottom of the vineyard
Mid lemon yellow, with a pure sunny white fruit nose, not demonstrative. Much classier stone fruit in the mouth, with a citrus energy towards the back. Well integrated oak, great persistence, this is a very noble Goutte d’Or. Drink from 2030-2036. Tasted Oct 2024.
