Interesting hints of pomegranate and tangerine peel are present on the very ripe aromas of black cherry, cassis, earth and a pretty spice nuance that also flash a hint of volatile acidity. There is outstanding richness and volume to the big, powerful and bold flavors that culminate in a chewy, markedly austere and very firm finish. This too is going to require extended bottle age to become more civilized as it's presently pretty grippy and rustic.
