The companion red to the Noa Chenin Blanc, this is sourced from schist soils on Porseleinberg rather than the granite of the Paardeberg. Held back for a year before it's put on the CWG auction, this is a dense, concentrated wine that will age as well as many of the top northern Rhône reds, with engaging fynbos and violet aromas, textured tannins, blackberry and wild thyme flavours and a hint of good reduction. Drink 2027-35.
