Tasting Notes

A beautiful effort from Alain Vauthier, the 2001 Moulin St.-Georges is performing better from bottle than it did from cask. Almost as good as the 2000, it boasts a deep ruby/purple color as well as a style reminiscent of its renowned sibling, Ausone. Aromas of minerals, acacia flowers, and black raspberries are found in this well-delineated, medium-bodied offering. Enjoy it over the next 10-12 years.
