Tasting Notes

A one-dimensional wine with lots of fruit and soft tannins in an easily understood, up-front style, without much depth or intensity, this 2006 should be drunk over the next 5-7 years

Tasted at a negotiant. A very attractive, understated nose: black fruits, leather, and earth. Subdued at the moment. The palate is dense, well-balanced, judicious use of new oak, focused, A little heavy on the finish, but this has good delineation with an attractive, gamey finish. Lots going here. Very fine. Tasted April 2007.

Clean, ripe and fruity, with a full body, round tannins and a friendly finish. Nicely done. This is a sensitive wine.

James Suckling, WineSpectator.com, March 2007

Purple with pale rim. Sweet, floral and a little simple on the nose. Some malted milk character. Light and zesty and full of gas. Sweet start - rather gentle and easy and relaxed. Nice wine for the short to medium term. Rather light. Fresh finish.
