Rivesaltes, Domaine de Rombeau 1968

Tasting Notes

80-120 g/l residual sugar usually, vinified at the domaine, which doubles as a very good Catalan restaurant, or cave auberge, in Rivesaltes village itself. Deep ruby/tawny. Raisiny and lots of acidity. A little gritty. Rancio after long, warm wood ageing of a blend of Grenache of all three colours. There may also be a little Muscat Alexandre in blends this 'young'. 17%
