The NV Brut Rose is awesome in the way it combines elegance, finesse and power. There is superb material in the density of fruit, along with perfumed aromatics and silky, chalky tannins that frame the long finish. It's all here in this sublime, sensual wine. Drink 2008-2011.

A cool, restrained and highly complex nose that is not especially fruity displays a moderate yeast character along with slightly exotic aromas of mandarin orange and Asian tea, all wrapped in an enveloping array of beguiling rose petal scents. There is very good richness with a relatively firm supporting mousse that adds to the impression of richness to the superbly complex and highly textured flavors, indeed one could aptly describe this as more wine that Champagne. As such this is indeed a sumptuous Krug rosé that is difficult to resist already though it should reward extended keeping if desired. As I noted in the original 750 ml review, that while I am not always wowed by the Krug Rosé, this latest incarnation in magnum is strikingly good. Drink 2020+.
The aromas are delicate, but this gathers intensity on the palate, revealing smoke, toast, strawberry and cherry flavors. It builds to a rich finish, with a lingering aftertaste of cherry and mineral. Drink now through 2010.-
Mid salmon. Definitely darker than it used to be. Very light rhubarb nose. You have to struggle to get that aroma! Very nice tight bead - superior texture without a doubt but low-key flavour. Tightly packed. Very fresh. Long. A wine that demands attention, if only so that you can pick up the flavour! Pretty marked acid. Drink 2009-2014. Date tasted 27th March 09.

Very dry, this rosé offers the essence of whole-grain bread, dried flowers, berries and spices. It's elegant, intense and supported by a lively acidity. Fine length and harmony. Overall, complex and inviting. Drink now through 2012
A stellar Champagne, this combines finesse and intensity, expressing its spice, biscuit, berry and honey flavours on a firm, dense structure. There's a wonderful contrast of maturity and freshness, and it just explodes on the finish. Drink now through 2003.
