A very deft and subtle touch of wood frames the ripe floral, plum and darker pinot fruit aromas that introduce intense, powerful and also mineral-driven full-bodied flavors that sacrifice no sense of detail or balance on the terrifically long, pure and mouth coating finish. This is a serious wine that is clearly built for the very long haul yet there is a lovely and sophisticated mouth feel. It will need at least a decade in the cellar and should easily last for 30+ years if properly stored.
