Tasting Notes

This also displays soft wood but here the nose is much spicier with notes of cassis, plum, wet stone, anise and clove. There is good richness but also a remarkable sense of finesse to the precise and vibrant middle weight flavors that evidence a discreet minerality that carries through to the long finish that seems to be composed of pure silk. Despite all of the refinement, 2010 is one of the more powerful vintages for this storied wine yet it carries everything in perfect harmony, in fact this is a textbook example of what how I like to describe the best examples of great burgundy, e.g. power without weight. In sum, this is simply stunning. Drink: 2022+
