**Note: the blend has changed considerably and is now 70% Ruchots with the balance in Clos Sorbé, Millandes and Charrières**
A notably floral-infused nose of red berry fruit reflects a discreet note of new wood that complements the rich, dense, serious and palate staining medium-bodied flavors that possess fine complexity on the balanced and moderately firm finish. This easy-to-like yet serious effort should repay up to a decade of cellaring.
The 2009 Morey St. Denis 1er Cru is a blend of three vineyards; mostly Ruchots with some Clos Sorbe and Charrieres. The blend usually includes fruit from Millandes, but in 2009 that parcel was being replanted. This is an impressive wine graced with layers of dark red fruit. Mint and minerals add complexity on the focused, textured finish. The 1er Cru was bottled in January 2011. Anticipated maturity: 2019-2029.
