Gevrey Chambertin Clos Saint Jacques, Domaine Esmonin 2010

Tasting Notes

**Note: 40+ year old vines aged in 100% new oak with 75% whole cluster fermentation**
An elegant, pure and airy nose features an ultra-pure and intensely floral character on the earthy and ripe dark berry fruit aromas. The layered and utterly delicious middle weight flavors possess an excellent sense of underlying tension as well as an almost pungent minerality on the full-bodied but well-delineated finish. This beautifully well-balanced effort is pretty much textbook Clos St. Jacques.

Here there is no reduction with a correspondingly more attractive nose that features an ultra-pure and intensely floral character to the earthy and ripe dark berry fruit aromas. The layered and utterly delicious middle weight flavors possess an excellent sense of underlying tension as well as an almost pungent minerality on the full-bodied but well-delineated finish. This beautifully well-balanced effort is pretty much textbook Clos St. Jacques.
