Bonnes Mares, Domaine Bruno Clair 2009

Tasting Notes

A brooding yet pretty nose is composed almost entirely of red berry fruit and wet stone notes that are also picked up by the rich, full-bodied, intense and overtly muscular broad-shouldered flavors that possess a magnificently long and unusually suave finish. This is a big wine that is quite serious in personality yet the copious extract buffers to some extent the presently very firm tannins. Drink 2024+. Note: the fourth vintage from a .41 ha parcel on the Morey side where the soil is more white then red.
