Clos de Vougeot, Domaine Lamarche 2002

**Note: from 3 different parcels, one at the bottom and two at the top but on opposite sides**
The generous wood that this displayed from cask has largely if not completely been absorbed though hints of vanilla and wood spice frame notes of earth, smoke and underbrush. The round, supple, spicy and intense flavors are underpinned by remarkably sophisticated tannins and excellent length. In sum, this is lovely stuff in a pure, linear style.
