Charmes Chambertin VV, Domaine Bachelet 2011

Tasting Notes

**Note: from a .44 ha parcel of 90+ year old vines situated directly across from Chambertin; the yields are so low and the vines so exposed that Bachelet says that he always harvests this parcel first**
A blend of both natural and wood spice adds depth to the seductively perfumed nose of dark berry liqueur and violet aromas. There is plenty of earth influence to the beguilingly textured and sappy medium weight flavors that possess a suave mouth feel on the pure and gorgeously long finish. There is still some residual wood on the finale but the concentration is such that this should have no difficulty successfully integrating it in time. Another knockout effort in a long string of them for the Bachelet Charmes.
