Côte Rôtie Lancement, Domaine Stéphane Ogier 2010

Tasting Notes

The 2010 Cote Rotie Lancement flirts with perfection, but, sadly, only six barrels (1,600 bottles) were produced. A sublime wine with a stunning nose of spring flowers, apricot marmalade, creme de cassis and raspberry liqueur, it is a full-bodied, inky, incredibly rich, complex, multidimensional red to drink over the next 15+ years. 2012 - 2027

Shows stunning depth and richness, with loads of velvety tannins carrying waves of blackberry, fig and dark plum confiture flavors. The long finish cruises throughout, with charcoal, black tea and roasted alder notes all deftly inlaid. An echo of iron lingers. Best from 2017 through 2035. 20 cases imported.
