Clos de Vougeot Musigni, Domaine Gros Frère et Soeur 2011

Tasting Notes

This is also noticeably toasty but it's a bit less obvious here as it doesn't fight with the ripe and cool array of red berry and earth-suffused aromas. There is good volume and a touch of spice to the powerful and more evidently concentrated broad-shouldered flavors that possess good mid-palate density and punch, all wrapped in a mouth coating, seductive and attractively persistent finish Note: from a 1.5 ha parcel that was replanted sequentially - 1985, 1988 and 1989; the wine carries the qualifier of Musigni because it comes from a parcel of vines at the top of Clos de Vougeot, directly across from the vineyard of Musigny
