Tasting Notes

The 1958 Rivesaltes felt a little wanting on the nose compared to other vintages, and did not quite deliver the complexity that I was hoping for. The palate is better with walnut and smoke, black plum and ginger, though it feels a little linear and does not quite deliver the knockout punch on the finish. Not bad, but I prefer the 1956 and 1957.
