Latricières Chambertin, Domaine Arnoux / Arnoux-Lachaux 2013

Tasting Notes

A brooding and reserved nose only grudgingly gives up its intensely floral array of red and dark currant aromas that enjoy added breadth in the form of green tea, earth and humus nuances. There is a driving minerality to the mouth coating and focused middle weight plus flavors that are ultra-vibrant, all wrapped in a wonderfully long, balanced and, like many of these 2013s, youthfully austere finish. This is not a big wine in the context of a Gevrey grand cru but it's balanced and classically styled.
