The 2015 Deidesheimer Kieselberg Riesling trocken GG has an intense citrus color and is still dusty. This is deep and complex on the nose and still yeasty, with oak flavors. Fresh and racy-piquant, with a ripe, round and juicy palate, this has nice grip and tension in the finish. Nice purity and piquancy with ripe apple flavors, this Riesling is promising.
Bright lemon colour with a very floral, bright and fresh nose. There are hints of white peach, exotic lychee and a touch of cream too. The palate has broad, exotic notes following from the nose, but with a refreshing cut of zippy lemon acidity. The balance of richness that gives texture and freshness from that acidity play excellently on the palate to give a layered, juicy mouthfeel to the wine. The finish is long and fresh with lemon and peach blossom. More approachable than some others in the range with almost Viognier-like notes, this is a moreish style of dry Riesling.
