Tasting Notes

**Note: from a .23 ha parcel; 50% whole cluster**
This is the first wine to display any noticeable wood and it's admirably subtle while easily allowing the notably floral suffused nose of red cherry, spice, lavender and spice to shine. In contrast to several of the prior Chambolle 1ers that are more robust, this is very Chambolle in character with its lacy mouthfeel and satin texture yet for all the refinement, the saline finish is explosively long. In sum, this is terrific and should both drink well young and age well too. In a word, excellent.
