Puligny Montrachet Champ Canet, Jacques Carillon 2013

Tasting Notes

**Note: 40+ year old vines**
Again there is a hint of reduction that isn't so strong as to really compromise the expressive nose that is both more elegant and more complex with its pretty array of pure citrus, acacia blossom, apple, pear and exotic tea scents. There is excellent volume but also plenty of vibrancy to the medium-bodied flavors that retain a lovely sense of detail on the refined, sappy and impeccably well-balanced finale. This will need a few years to further develop depth on the finish but the underlying material should be more than adequate to do so. Worth considering.
