A discreet application of wood sets off aromas of earthy cassis, black cherry and Asian-style tea. There is good vibrancy to the attractively textured, delineated and redoubtably powerful broad-shouldered flavors that possess outstanding mid-palate concentration, all wrapped in a mouth coating, intense and hugely long finish. This is quite firm at present and will definitely require at least 8 to 10 years of cellaring before it is likely to drink well.
