A somber and inexpressive nose of red and blue pinot fruit with violet highlights also features undertones of earth and crushed herb on the rich, round, sweet and almost lush medium-bodied flavors that display obvious toasty notes on the slightly warm finish. This is certainly agreeable and offers good mid-palate fat but the wood isn't subtle.
