The 2017 Puligny-Montrachet Les Referts 1er Cru has a well-defined bouquet of orchard fruit and touches of white flowers; a crushed stone note develops almost reluctantly with aeration. The palate is very well balanced with a fine bead of acidity. This is harmonious, focused and mineral-driven, the finish composed and elegant yet reassuringly persistent. A Puligny Premier Cru from the top drawer. Tasted blind at the annual Burgfest tasting in Savigny-lès-Beaune. Drink between 2023-2045.
