Liqueur-like aromas of both red and dark berries displays top notes of spice and menthol along with good amounts of earth and wood toast. The rich, very concentrated and full-bodied flavors possess both plenty of sappy dry extract and solid power while exhibiting excellent length on the firm and slightly warm finish. This should age for a very long time.
The 2018 Chapelle-Chambertin Grand Cru (Domaine Louis Jadot) offers up a lovely bouquet of wild berries, peonies, orange rind, licorice and smoky soil tones. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, concentrated and fine-boned, with refined structuring tannins, a lively core of fruit and a long, perfumed finish. As usual, this is showing very well.
Ripe, almost brambly fruits on the nose here. Lots of power, with a dense core of red and black fruits. Spicy and chalky, there are layers of structure here that build through the mid palate for a bold and muscular finish. One to lay down, but given the length on the finish it should reward those with patience.
