Chambolle Musigny Les Charmes, Domaine Ghislaine Barthod 2015

Tasting Notes

This is at once ripe but fresh with airy dark berry fruit liqueur-like aromas that are liberally cut with exuberantly spicy and floral nuances. There is a lovely, indeed caressing mouth feel to the medium-bodied, sappy, generous and refined flavors that possess a seductive mid-palate yet tighten up on the firm, dusty and impeccably well-balanced finale. Like several wines in the range, this is textbook.

Full purple, dense fruit, excellent intensity, a little bit of oak reduction, still very backward but the intensity is there. A little bitterness at the back of a wealth of sumptuous dark red fruit.
