While hardly invisible the wood treatment is a bit more subtle here and easily allows the complex array of violet, plum, dark currant, earth and abundant sauvage nuances to shine. There is excellent mid-palate concentration to the powerful, generously proportioned and palate coating flavors that possess excellent volume on the powerful and beautifully long finale. This is a robust version of the appellation and quite firmly structured to I would strongly recommend allowing this at least 8 to 10 years of cellar time first.
