Tasting Notes

A crisp bright purple colour. This has a gorgeous purity and precision, a ravishing lifted red fruit intensity, good acidity and well ripened tannins. Very elegant yet intense Chambolle, with a beautiful finish. Tasted: November 2021

Jasper Morris MW, Inside Burgundy, November 2021

The 2020 Chambolle-Musigny Les Fuées 1er Cru has a reserved bouquet, a mixture of red and black fruit, black pepper, allspice and just a hint of pencil shavings. The palate is medium-bodied with fine-grain tannins, fresh and lightly spiced with a harmonious, almost Vosne-like finish where I just wanted to see a little more mineralité. Let’s see if it gains some during the remainder of its barrel maturation.

Neal Martin, vinous.com, December 2021

Mid ruby-purple in colour. Super fragrant, bringing pure red cherry and strawberry, laced with peppery spices and a hint of sweet vanilla. Displaying supreme finesse and intensity, the jewels of red fruit at the core fly across the palate in effortless ripeness. Peppery and floral, this is vibrant and incredible moreish, yet deep and clearly built to age. A very fine example.
