Barreiros Mencia, Pago de los Abuelos 2019

Tasting Notes

From a vineyard planted in 1890 on slate soils with a slope of 30% at 450m above sea level. Mid ruby colour. Red and black fruits are layered with wood smoke, liquorice and dry forest floor on the nose here. The palate has a real polish of tannin together with sappy fruit, green peppercorn and woody herbs. Deep, succulent and long with a smoky, succulent finish.
