The new vintage of Porquerolles Rosé builds on the excellent work achieved since Chanel's takeover in 2019. A blend of five varieties - Grenache, Syrah, Cinsault, Mourvedre and Tibouren. Volumes are down on last year as with almost everywhere in France. Bright, pale salmon colour in the glass. The nose layers peach blossom, white strawberry and garrigue together as fresh citrus blends with the savoury tones that add such an enticing layer to the aromas. The palate shows yuzu, quince and peach skin together with layers of citrus oil and more of those dried herbs. There is a deeper and richer mouthfeel than last year. Dry, with a zippy freshness in acidity that provides the cut against this extra power, it remains elegant and fresh, perfect for drinking over the next 12 months. A brilliant Provencal rosé that continues to go from strength to strength.
