Leclerc Briant Les Basses Prieres, Champagne Leclerc Briant 2015

Tasting Notes

The 2015 Brut Zéro Les Basses Prières is made from co-harvested, co-pressed and co-fermented Pinot Noir (80%) and Chardonnay (20%) aged for nine months in oak. An initial whiff of roasted, salted cashew nuts and a touch of caramel eases into lemony, buttery toast. The palate has frothy mousse that brings more of that roasted nut savoriness, almost with an overtone of smoked almond. Underneath that is lemony brightness and a juicy body. Yes, this has some of the 2015 looseness, but those complex and arresting flavors have proper length. Dosage is 2gr/L. Disgorged: November, 2020. 2023-2035
